Mid-Season Maintenance Check

Copy of ext_downspoutNow that we’re into the winter season, it’s a good time to do a quick inspection of a few areas of your home that may be impacted by winter weather.

  1. Balconies: Inspect to ensure water is properly draining after rains. Water should never pond on your balcony surface, it should always drain either over the balcony edge or through the designated drain.
  2. Gutters & Downspouts (SFD & Townhomes): Take a look to make sure rainwater is able to freely drain from your gutter system. Check for clogs that might prevent proper drainage.
  3. Yard Drains (SFD & Townhomes): Your yard should drain to designated drains or the community’s storm drain system. Inspect drain inlets on your lot to make sure they aren’t clogged. Remove debris from around drains to allow for proper drainage.
